Romans 2:4 Or do you think lightly of the riches of His kindness and restraint and patience, not knowing that the kindness of God

leads you to repentance?

God does not desire the death of sinners but their salvation. His purpose in saving people is to show the meaning of kindness in their lives. Kindness and gentleness thus belong to the visible gifts of the Spirit. Love itself (agape) manifests as kindness, and is one of the chief aspects of the Spirit-filled life,

it becomes the subject of the exhortation “As God’s chosen people clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness.”

SCRIPTURAL EXAMPLES OF GODLY KINDNESS

Genesis 39:20-22 20 So Joseph’s master took him and put him into the prison, the place where the king’s prisoners were confined; and he was there in the prison. 21 But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him, and gave him favor in the sight of the warden of the prison. 22 And the warden of the prison put Joseph in charge of all the prisoners who were in the prison; so that whatever was done there, he was responsible for it.

Proverbs 14:22 Will they who devise evil not go astray? But kindness and truth will be to those who devise good.

Micah 6:8 He has told you, mortal one, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?

Ephesians 2:4-10 But God, being rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in our wrongdoings, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up with Him, and seated us with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the ages to come He might show the boundless riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.

Colossians 3:12 So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience;

1 Peter 2:3 if you have tasted the kindness of the Lord.
